Ngongotaha Trout Hatchery, Ngongotaha – The hatchery is a nice spot to explore with the kids, with trout pools, beautiful native bush, and an easy track that’s suitable for all fitness levels.

Description

Between July and November, the local angler’s club teaches children aged 6-14 years to fly fish and catch a rainbow trout (certain days only, so check at the visitor centre). The hatchery is just 5 minutes from Ngongotaha Village.
