Business Type: River Activities

Overview

The Rangitikei River at 185 km is one of New Zealand longest rivers.

Address: Mangaweka, New Zealand Manawatu, Whanganui

Description

Flowing from the North Island’s Central Plateau south into the Tasman Sea, 40 km southeast of Whanganui – the Rangitikei offers some wonderful opportunities.

Many water based and land activities provide something for everyone.

Jet boating, white water rafting, kayaking, fishing, horse treks as well as several walking and hiking tracks are available.

The deep canyons and sheer vertical clay cliffs that are unique to this part of New Zealand lend themselves to adventure activities such as bungy jumping and flying fox rides.
